What this tool shows

Every registered domain has public registration data: which registrar it's registered through, when it was first registered, when it's due to expire, and which nameservers currently handle its DNS. This is useful for due diligence before buying a domain, catching an upcoming expiry before it lapses, or confirming who legitimately controls a domain during an incident investigation.

Frequently asked questions

What is RDAP and how is it different from WHOIS?

RDAP is the modern replacement for legacy WHOIS, returning structured JSON instead of unstructured text. Most registries have migrated to RDAP as the authoritative source.

Why can't I see the domain owner's name or email?

Since GDPR and similar regulations, most registrars redact personal contact information by default, showing only a registrar proxy. This is standard, not an error.

Why does a domain show no results here?

It may not be registered, the query may have a typo, or the relevant registry may not yet support RDAP for that TLD.
